In 2002, Jack and Chloe are still the most popular names given to babies in England and Wales. The choice of boys' names is generally more conservative, Jack has now been the most popular boys' name for the past eight years.

Benjamin rose 8 places to number 6, while Ben climbed 10 places to nr. 21. Harry dropped five places, while William went up 6 places. Jordan saw a big decrease in popularity, down 18 places to number 43.
In the girls' top 100, a few notable changes: Isabelle climbed up 10 places, Maisie is up 18 places; Jade and Laura both went down 8 places.
